Parker's Pipe Fittings and Port Adapters are designed to screw together and cause interference at the roots and crests of the threads. The thread deformations caused by the interference fit and the wrench tightening is designed to make a dry mechanical seal. It is constructed of high strength steel and is interchangeable with SAE 090109A, Aeroquip 2083, Brennan 5404, and Weatherhead C3069 fittings.
