The range on the gauge should be approximately twice the intended operating pressure.
Avoid applying pressure beyond the top of the scale for extended periods.
Excessive vibration could cause movement wear resulting in movement wear resulting in the loss of accuracy.
The gauge should be isolated from the source of vibration, or a liquid filled gauge should be used.
Excessive pressure pulsation, usually evidenced by continuous rapid pointer oscillation, could result in fatigue failure of the pressure element or rapid movement wear.
A pulsation dampening device and a liquid filled gauge should be considered.
