Our 1/4" Crobsy slip hook is forged carbon or forged alloy steel. Quenced and tempered. All pins are alloy steel. Not suitable for use with grade 80 chain or chain slings used in overhead lifting. Hooks with a clevis are easily attached to chain or fitting by removable clevis pin. This hook has a slip opening that has a wide throat opening allowing the chain to move freely through the hook. Uses for this hook include easily joining attachments to welded chain or wire rope. It is not rated for over head lifting.
